Andrea Michalcová
Andrea is the Director of the Center for an Informed Society, which she co-founded. She focuses on the analysis of the decline of democracy in Central Europe, the rise of populism and the hybrid influence that the Russian Federation is exerting in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Previously, she was Deputy Director for Programme and Operations Management at the European Values Center for Security Policy (EVC).
Andrea started her work with EVC in 2013, where she mainly focused on project management. In the fall of 2019, she completed a month-long transatlantic James S. Denton Fellowship organized by the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) in Washington, D.C. She received her Master's degree in International Relations and European Law from the Faculty of Law at the University of Salamanca, Spain. She worked for the American technology company IBM.
