Thanks to the support of the Czech-Polish Forum, our program for Czech parliamentary assistants to expand their knowledge and competences in the field of foreign and security policy also focused on Poland.
From 26 to 29 May, a group of assistants visited Warsaw. They had a series of networking meetings with Polish parliamentary assistants, as well as discussions with the Vice-Chair of the National Defence Committee and the Vice-Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Polish Sejm. Also very interesting were meetings with representatives of NGOs (e.g. Visegrad Insight), Romanian diplomats and the Czech Ambassador in Warsaw, Břetislav Dančák. The whole trip was a great opportunity to exchange experiences and deepen cooperation at the level of parliamentary assistants between Czech and Polish political parties across the party spectrum.
In the next phase of the project, which is part of our long-term Academy for parliamentary assistants, their Polish colleagues will come to Prague. The project was supported by the Czech-Polish Forum grant program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. The project partner is the Warsaw Institute.
