The Digital Services Act provides an opportunity to create a fairer and safer online environment. However, no piece of legislation works without being enforced.
The Centre for an Informed Society joins a set of recommendations that have been developed based on the insights of leading European experts, the most important provisions of the implemented regulation and the experience of foreign regulators. According to European civil society, the following are essential points in building the institution:
- Ensuring independence,
- expert background,
- the involvement of civil society and the academy,
- přeshraniční spolupráce,
- data readiness,
- raising public awareness.
